MAC and Beauty Bay Haul!

Yay! This video is so exciting because it was my first video with my brand new video camera that my darling Lachlan got me for my birthday on Friday :) (How many times can I say video in one sentence haha).

So, this is just a good fun haul :) The MAC stuff I got a few days before I filmed, and the Beauty Bay came in the mail on my birthday, so it was the perfect excuse to try my camera :P Oh, and there's a little OOTD at the end.

What do you think of the new camera? I love how much easier it is to film on this one. It even has a little remote :P

'Insert Nudity Pun Here'

That's right, it's Naked 2 time!

I was so excited to get this in the mail :) Not only because Friday was my birthday :P Coming home from work to this, it was like 'Happy Birthday Me!' haha :P

Let's get straight into the swatches! I'm sure most people have seen so many of these swatches and blog posts already, but living in Australia I got it the first moment I could, so blame Urban Decay for my lateness ;)

All these are with Flash because it was late, and the ones without flash failed miserably. And believe, me I took a lot :(

For the closeup shots, the name of the shade can be clearly seen underneath :)

And now swatches :) L-R as the palette. Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout.
No Flash.

With Flash.

And now the Lip Junkie, Naked. It's a lovely, sheer, nude pinky colour. I actually like the mint smell, though it could be too strong for someone who wasn't a mint fan. The cooling and plumping is actually quite fun, and I noticed a very slight difference in my lips, though of course nothing dramatic :)

Natural light.

There should hopefully be a haul video up soon, as well as a tutorial, featuring the Naked 2 :) I really can't wait to play with this palette. My first thoughts are its less natural than the original, with no colours comparable to Naked and Buck, but a lot more versatile. The original Naked I would look at and could only think of either neutral or maybe golden smokey looks (though don't get me worng, I still love it and think it is an amzing palette). This one I can already see a variety of different looks, from very frosted, metallic, golden, bronze, and even silver. And I LOVE the inclusion of the matte black, so handy to have. And its so pigmented and creamy to boot :)

I hope this was helpful :) This really is a gorgeous palette. My only problem in the morning now is which Naked do I reach for :P

Valentines Day Short Hair Tutorial - Natural Curls

Yay my first hair tutorial! :) I really like this look, I wear it all the time. There's not much you can do with short hair, so mines usually straightened or curled when I can be bothered doing it :P This is one of the more natural, yet glamorous ways I curl my hair, and I thought what better time to share it with you than Valentines Day! :D

Oh, and see if you can spot my little kitty Lou creepin' in the background at the end of the video :P I only noticed when I was just finished editing.

Valentines Day Tutorial

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I love February. Not only Valentines Day, but it's my Birthday on the 17th! And I just love Summer, so an all round win :)

Oh, and as a bonus the new season of 'Sherlock' airs tomorrow in Australia! About bloody time I say, I need me some Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman :D So all round a pretty awesome week for me ;)

For this look I wanted to do something natural, yet a little bit glamorous. I also used a bit of pink to make it fun and Valentinesy (that's a word now) :P

Products I used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
Stila Daydream Palette: Ambition
Urban Decay Naked Palette
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
Artdeco White Eyeliner
Lacura Volume Mascara
Vani-T Creme Multi Stick in Coral Candy
Mirenesse Lip Duo Cheek/Lip Tint

I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day, and if you're not getting spoilt by someone special, then just spoil yourself :)

Bellapierre Shimmer 9 Stack: Glamorous Glitter

Ok, so I'm actually pretty excited about this. As anyone who knows me will obviously be aware, I love shopping online. This is helped along by websites such as Ozsale that have many awesome brands (Essie, OPI, butter LONDON, Mirenesse, Forever New and many many more) come on sale for very reasonable prices. The catch is you usually have to get so much before the postage (on average $10) makes the savings worth it. For example, there is no point in buying that one Essie nail polish you've been wanting for ages for $6 if with postage you're still paying $15. But I digress. Bellapierre was one of the brands that caught my eye while I was browsing, and in doing so I came across this beauty.

Its a stack of 9 gorgeous glitters. There were also loose shimmer stacks, but I went for the glitter immediately. Maybe next time if they're on sale again :P

Now for a lot of photos. You have been warned :P Oh, and I'm not sure about the names, they're not on the stack I found them online so I hope they're right :)

Light Pink.

Bling Bling.

All lined up.

And swatches.

L-R Sparkle, Light Pink, Greentastic and Glamour - natural light.

As above. Flash.

L-R Spectra, Bling Bling, Freesia, Turquoise and Ruby.
Sorry only natural light, none of the flash ones turned out well :(

I am really loving these. It could be because I love most things sparkly, but these are very good :) There's plenty of variety, so its good value for money. And they also apply very well. A lot of fallout, but I think that's a given with glitter, but they apply well, and don't go on sparse like you may expect. I definitely look forward to using these a lot :)

I do use the gold in a tutorial coming up soon, so keep your eyes out for that :)

Stay beautiful.

Lush Haul

I'm sorry that I haven't done this yet! I'm so slack, I apologise.

This Lush haul was from a few trips to one of my new favourite stores :) They had a sale on a huge chunk of there stock, including all their Christmas stuff. Needless to say I went overboard, but with everything 50% off I feel that it's justified :)

The videos been up for a while, so I'm really sorry that this blog post is so behind :( But I hope you enjoy the video :) And of course thanks to all the fabulous people at Lush for making every experience in there so much fun :)

Stay beautiful.
