Lush Chadstone Are So Awesome :)

Ok, so the other night I went to Lush Chadstone because, since I like them on Facebook, they invited everyone to a little event they were having. They stayed open late and had some quizzes, competitions, prizes and of course a chance to do all your Christmas shopping. I'd got in early for Christmas, but I thought I'd go anyway just for fun. And it really was. They had some bowls set up and you had to guess the combinations of them, and they had a quiz that was almost like a scavenger hunt. And I actually won a prize for that! :) So when I got home I knew I had to do a video showing you all the awesome things I got. Hope you enjoy :)

OPI Femme de Cirque Mini Collection

Ok, so during my Christmas shopping online, I inevitably picked up some things for myself :P One of those was the OPI Femme de Cirque mini collection. I was so excited when it came, as I've recently got into more light, natural colours (at least a tad :P ) and pinks for Spring and Summer. So I sat down with it and got photo happy so i could share them with you :)

Polishes in the very cute box, no flash.

Polishes in the box, flash.

L-R I Juggle...Men; So Many Clowns, So Little Time; In The Spot-Light Pink; Step Right Up.

Same as above, but with flash.

Next up, some swatches. I'll do them in the order the polishes are listed above. All swatches are three coats over a base coat, no top coat. First up, I Juggle...Men. This is a glitter topcoat that reflects blue, purple and pink. It's really gorgeous, but unfortunately refused to photograph well :( On my nails it was a very fine, subtle, but still noticeable glitter that shimmered in the light. I can describe it as similar to sunlight reflecting of still water :) The polish went on very smoothly, and isn't rough to the touch when dry.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light.

Flash.

Next up, So many CLowns, So Little Time. This was a lovely sheer nude. It was relatively buildable, but still stayed sheer, even after three coats. The formula was very smooth, as were all the polishes, and applied very well.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light.

Flash.

I also added a coat of I Juggle...Men to all the polishes to show it off as a top coat.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light.

Flash.

And now, In The Spot-Light Pink. This was so beautiful. Incredibly sheer and not very buildable, but very natural looking. This just made my nails look healthy and rosy, and would be perfect for a French mani. Once again, a lovely formula to work with.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light.

Flash.

And once again, with a coat of I Juggle...Men. I really liked how this made it a but more modern, a lovely twist to something classic :)

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light.

Flash.

And last but not least, Step Right Up. This is the most opaque of all the polishes. It's a beautiful white pink, still quite natural, but a tad bolder than the others. Its a lovely colour, and would be great during the day, especially for Spring and Summer, or as an alternative to white.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light. (Sorry don't know why this on flipped)

Flash.

And of course, with I Juggle...Men.

Indirect natural light.

Direct natural light. (Again, sorry :( )

Flash.

All in all, I really like this mini collection :) Its a nice addition to my more work appropriate colours, and perfect for the warmer months. The inclusion of the glitter top coat means that you can give a little extra something to all of these very feminine polishes for that little extra something. And I'm a big fan of that little extra something ;)

November Favourites, but with a Surprise

Yay second favourites video! Let's see if I can keep it up :P There was a clear stand out for what my favourite thing was this month, and even though its not beauty related, I had to put it in, watch for the surprise entry at the end :P But I did find, once again, that there were a few things I tended to use a lot more than others. I enjoyed doing this video because I got to stop and look at what I'd used this month and think, "wow did I really use it that much?". It was also fun this month when I'd reach for something and think, "I really am using this a lot, it should go on favourites!"

So here it is, I managed a second and already looking forward to doing my third :)

Oh and my nails from my previous post make an appearance :P Hope you enjoy.

Yay for Glam Nail Art!

Ok, I had to put these up here. I do enjoy a bit of nail art, and have been experimenting a lot lately. So I got some rhinestones off eBay, and long story short ended up with nearly double what I had originally ordered :P So there was nothing else to do but to sit down and have a bit of a play, and this is what I ended up with :)

All photos are with flash because the others didn't turn out very well :P

It was pretty simple to do and I'm pretty happy with the results, since it was my first try. I've already got so many other ideas of things I can do with them. I'm also pretty happy with how long and strong my nails are compared to a few months ago. They still break a bit, but nowhere near as often as they did and I think its the longest I've had them, probably ever! I was a big picker back in the day :P

Let me know what you think, and if anyone has any ideas they want me to try I am very willing :)

Queen of Hearts Tutorial

Ok, so this one is a little crazy :P But what's a challenge without something different? And it was a lot of fun too :)

This was inspired by Helena Bonham Carter's Queen of Hearts from Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland'. I haven't gone all out with the eyebrows and white face, but remember I did wear this during the day, though it would be great for a more simple costume makeup. It's just a pity Halloween has come and gone :P

Products used:

Baby Powder
Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in Electric Blue and Pacific
Blue Artdeco Eyeshadow (didn't have a name)
Maybelline Eyestudio in Blackest Black
Australis Black Pencil Liner
Loreal Lash Architect 4D
Artdeco Lifting Lip Base
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick in Classic Red

I hope you enjoy this silliness, a daily dose is very healthy :P

ILoveThisBox Open Box and First Impressions

Ok, first things first. I don't know how I found this website, but I love this box! It is so cool. For $14.95 a month, you get a box sent in the mail with 4-5 sample (or full) size items that you can try in your own home. It's taken of a profile you fill out, so they know what your beauty needs are and what products you want to see.

I tried it this month as a trial to see if it was worth while, and it most definitely is. I got 3 full size products, 2 sample sizes and a voucher! It all came so beautifully packaged and it was so much fun to open and see what I got. And all for only $14.95! I recommend it to anyone, especially as you can opt out at anytime if you don't love it as much as I do :)

What I got:
Magnolia's $10 Off Coupon
NVEY ECO's Taupe [#172] Eyeshadow (full size)
POD - Liquid Tan - Gradual Tanning Face Serum (full size)
Set of 3 Caudalie Facials Samples
Keratinology by Sunsilk's Sun Kissed Colour Therapy collection (full size)

I was especially excited about Topless and Barefoot, as I'd requested Essie and I had been wanting to buy that nail polish for ages. So happy :)

Nude and Natural Tutorial

This look is the most wearable out of all my 21 Challenge looks. It is basically a very nuded out natural look. What I like most about this look is how versatile it is, and how you can use this look but change it slightly, different blush, different gloss, more defined eye etc, and you can have a whole weeks worth of looks for school or work :) And it's so quick and simple too.

I totally forgot to take photos of this look *hangs head in shame* but I'm sure you can all survive.

Products used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay Naked Palette
Artdeco White Eyeliner
Lacura Volume Mascara
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
Sportsgirl Lip Jam
MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Extremely Confident

I hope you can get something out of it, it's a very easy look. And be sure to comment :)

Sigma Beauty Holiday Gift Guide and Product Sneak Peak!

Ok, so Christmas is just over a month away and I'm getting super excited! It is hands down my favourite holiday, and time of the year in general. Not only is summer my favourite season, but I love spending time with my family, eating til you're stuffed and of course gift giving! No joke, I have been spending a huge amount of my spare time looking up what I want to get everyone for Christmas, and sometimes have to stop myself from spending too much :P Then I got an email from Sigma showing me an awesome product sneak peak (starting today/tomorrow!) and everything just got a lot easier, but harder all at once :P So, to help out all you wonderful people, I decided to do a gift guide, as well as show you all the amazing new products I am counting down for.

First up, the Make Me Up Kits.

I have the Make Me Classy, and I love it. Not only does it come with 12 essential brushes, but the gorgeous case opens and converts to 2 brush holders! Genius. They're perfect for travel as well as everyday use. The colours are gorgeous too :) A must for any makeup geek in need of some (or some more) quality makeup brushes. $109 USD.

Next, the Dare, Bare and Flare Palettes.

These palettes are the perfect gift. They each include 8 great quality eyeshadows in a gorgeous palette, and even include a high quality double ended eyeshadow brush. The Dare palette has some neutral as well as some more dramatic colours, featuring some stunning coral and orange shades, for the more 'daring' beauty lovers. The Bare palette has some beautiful neutral shades perfect for everyday, as well as some darker shades to create the perfect smoky eye. The Flare palette has two main colour sets, purple and green, with endless possibilities of colourful looks you can create. Any or all of these would be the perfect addition to any ones makeup arsenal. $35 USD each.

Next, the Sigmax Brushes.

These are the new Sigmax brushes. Well, 5 of 8 are new :) They are kabuki style brushes with a multitude of uses. The larger ones can be used for liquid foundation, powder, blush, contouring, highlighting and much more. The small precision brushes are perfect for cream eye products, concealer, highlighting and other more precise makeup application. My personal favourite is the P82 Precision Round which mimics your fingertip, making it perfect for many use, including applying eyeshadow bases, liquid or cream highlighters and concealer. You can get them separately or as a set. These would be a great gift for the more serious makeup geek. $99 USD for the full set.

Next, the Dry 'n Shape.

This little miracle from Sigma is a must for anyone with makeup brushes. Washing your brushes can be such a chore, but with the Dry 'n Shape you no longer have to wait overnight or even longer til you can use your brushes again! It drys them in 4-6 hours and reshapes them so they look and feel like new again. With this, its easy to keep your brushes in top condition. It also keeps them out of the way while they dry, which is perfect for anyone with pets, because from experience leaving your brushes out overnight to dry can be a nightmare when your on cat watch :P A perfect gift for anyone with makeup brushes of any kind. $29 USD.
Also, until November 30 get $5 off with the code TIFFANY5 when purchasing the Dry 'n Shape. A little bonus for you all :)

Next, the Cleansing and Polishing Tool.

This little beauty is similar to the Clarisonic, for anyone who has heard of that. Its an electric brush that you use to cleanse your face. The head rotates, allowing the brush to scrub your chosen cleanser into your skin better than your hands can alone. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and squeaky clean. There are three brush heads; soft for sensitive skin, medium for exfoliating or everyday use for less sensitive skin, and firm for weekly exfoliation or body exfoliation. This is perfect for someone with problem skin, or who uses makeup regularly. $39 USD.

Lastly, the Heart Shaped Mirrors.

These are the cutest little mirrors, perfect for travel or keeping in your handbag. They have two magnifications, regular and 5x so you can see up close and personal all the details of your gorgeous mugs :) Not only are they incredibly handy and a must for any girl on the go, but they are absolutely stunning too. They come in six colours and designs for you to choose from. A perfect present for a buyer on a budget, or for that girl who seems to have everything else. $25 USD each.

I hope this little guide has helped some of you with your Christmas shopping. Visit http://www.sigmabeauty.com/?Click=141669 for all your beauty needs. And remember, Sigma always have 10% off. Novembers code is IN2011, so remember to enter that at checkout.

And before I forget, new products sneak peak! I am so excited for all of this :)

So I am looking forward to all of those (especially the Bunny Collection, the colours, the fibres, everything!) and I will post more information as it comes.

I apologise for the length of this post, but I hope some of you can find it useful. Have a safe and happy holiday season everyone, and enjoy the excuse to shop!

Chadstone Haul

Ok, so on Saturday my other half and I went on a little trip to Chadstone for some groceries, and obviously we spent hours there wasting time and a bit of money :P Though in my defence, I did have my Club Card voucher to spend ($8 wooo!). And the one product I really wanted, they didn't have, so off to Myer we went to get it :) And then of course, while grocery shopping in Aldi, I got a mascara I had been recommended. So that is my little haul! I do love shopping at Chadstone, its so much of an adventure, the place is enormous! But I'm starting to learn my way around it now.

I hope you enjoy my little haul, and let me know if you have/want any of these and what you think :)

PS. Oh! And of course we had some Trampoline while we were there. Best ice cream and gelato ever! Personal favourites; lemon, lime and bitters, choc therapy, and after dark. But they're all so good! Let me know your favourites in the comments :)

Hey everyone! I'm pretty excited about this video. I want to try and do favourites every month, but we will have to see how much time I get :) In the meantime, I'm so happy to have my October favourites up :) I had a lot of fun filming this one, and I had to try and stop myself from rambling :P I also did my first Outfit of the Day, because it was Oaks Day for the races, so I got to dress up for work :)

Did anyone else go to the races or get dressed up? Let me know :)
